The Music in the Wood is the beautifully illustrated tale of a black walnut tree with a heart full of woodland music. Set in the Missouri Ozarks, the story walks you through the life of the tree, exploring the songs of the woodland animals  along the way.  

Rachelle Gegg has deep family roots in Missouri, but Indiana has been home to her for over 30 years.  She lives not far from her children and grandchildren, enjoying the shade of her tall trees and occasionally playing her dulcimer.  This is her first children's book.
